Why?

The mountains were here long before us, and they’ll be here long after. They’ve seen generations come and go, seasons shift, storms roll in and fade away. Yet every time we step into our skis, we get to be a small part of that story—to move through these landscapes, carving our fleeting lines into something timeless.

That’s why I started Bonneville Mountain Equipment. In my eyes, skiing isn’t just an activity—it’s a gateway to a more profound connection to the mountains we play in. It’s an invitation to move with the land, feeling the pull of the earth beneath us. The best skis aren’t the ones you think about; they’re the ones that disappear beneath us, granting us the freedom to make our cathartic wiggles down the hill (a dance the trees surely find comical). That’s the feeling I chase every time I build a ski, and sharing that feeling with you is what I hope to do.

Playing that role in your relationship to the mountains is not something I take lightly, and let’s be clear: Bonneville Mountain Equipment isn’t just about making more stuff. It is my life’s mission is to facilitate the connection between my community and the landscapes that shaped us, and building great skis for you all is how I hope to do just that.
